TotalEnergies is “seriously” considering moving its primary listing to New York from Paris after CEO Patrick Pouyanne previously complained to investors behind closed doors that the company’s European listing was a drag on its valuation versus U.S. peers, The Financial Times’ Sarah White reports. Pouyanne said Friday that “We have more and more U.S. shareholders, thinking of having a clear listing in New York is obviously a move which the board asked me to look at,” adding that he would report back to the board by September,” but that the company’s headquarters will remain in Paris.
